Holly Willoughby reveals the real reason why she quit lifestyle brand Truly
Last month Holly shocked fans when she announced that she would be pulling out of fronting a new lifestyle brand called Truly.
Now theThis Morningpresenter has revealed why she made the decision – she was putting family before her career.
She toldStellamagazine, “You cannot have it all. I’ve had the most incredible opportunities this year but it’s also overwhelming.
“Truly was something I was very passionate about, but my husband has a really high-pressured, busy job and I have three kids and other projects. My son Harry has really got into football and I want to be able to take him there so her can do what he loves,” she said.
She also added that quality time with her family was more important than her career, saying, “I didn’t want to be in a position where I was working in the evenings and couldn’t be with them. It’s not just about me having my dream and everyone fitting round it, it’s about putting family first and making that choice.”
Holly had been teasing the launch of Truly over the summer, with the lifestyle and family brand due to launch in the spring of next year.
It has been described as ‘a new lifestyle brand… about beautiful things that are of the highest quality, surprisingly affordable and designed to make your life easier’.
In fact, after announcing the project to be nearly ready, an excited Holly even shared some promo pictures shot of herself in a sun drenched location abroad.
But last month, despite directing fans to sign up for updates on the brand’s website ahead of its launch, Holly took to social media to cut ties with Truly.
Taking to Instagram to confirm she had stepped back from involvement, the 37-year-old mother of three shared, “After much consideration, I have made the decision to step away from Truly.
“To launch a brand needs total dedication and at the moment, with so many other commitments, this is not something I feel I can do without it starting to affect my family time at home.”
Finally, Holly signed off the post with, “I wish Truly all the best for the future.”

It still looks like the Truly brand will be launching, and we’re glad this means that Holly will find a little extra time with her beloved brood.
