How to cook Tula gingerbread in the form of a pie

You will need
  • - water (highly carbonated) - 150 ml
  • - vegetable oil - 50 ml
  • - sugar - 50 g
  • - Honey - 6 tbsp.
  • - baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • - ground cinnamon - 0.5 tsp.
  • - ground ginger - 0.5 tsp.
  • - wheat flour - 200 g
  • - Jam apricot - 4 tbsp.
  • - lemon - 1 pc.
  • - icing sugar - 150 g
  • - burnt sugar - 1 tsp.
In a deep bowl combine the following ingredients: honey, sugar and vegetable oil. Honey is better to take dark varieties, which will benefit from the aroma and color of the cake. Vegetable oil is suitable sunflower unrefined. If honey crystallized, the mixture should be slightly heated in a water bath. Add soda and half the total flour. Then mix this mixture well.
Add the remaining half of the flour, blended with baking powder and spices, to burn color. Stir the resulting thick dough until smooth.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease the bottom and sides of the baking dish with vegetable oil, then pour out the dough and put the form in a hot oven.
Bake for about 15 - 20 minutes, checking the readiness of the cake with a match. Remove the hot cake from the mold, let it stand for a while, so that the cake is a little cold. Cut into two cakes, coat the bottom with apricot jam, and then cover with the upper part. Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice to make a white, smooth, slightly sticky mass. Smear the top and sides of the cake with this glaze.
