MANGO Tribal Spirit SS16 - Kendall Jenner - Warming Up
Kendall Jenner Will Star In Mango ‘Tribal Spirit’ Campaign
No one has yet discovered the energy source of the social media favorite and one of the most influential models of our times, Kendall Jenner, who set the ball rolling in 2009 and keeps it rolling with higher velocity and with greater get-up-and-go with the coming of every new year. The new 2019 year meets the bombshell brunette embracing the status of the new ambassador of the Spanish fast-fashion clothing retailer Mango. As informs, Kendall Jenner will star inMango’s “Tribal Spirit” campaigninspired by African savanna. Shot by the British photographer David Sims last month in London the mini campaign will appear on digital advertizing platfroms on February 1 and in magazines starting from March.
This time around Mango will come up with new marketing strategy more customized and adapted to fast-fashion concept. “Tribal Spirit” will be the first of the four themes of the spring 2019 campaign that Mango is planning to releasee. The other three mini campaigns will come to light in March, April and May, each of them starring a new model as the face of that very campaign and each one of the themes encompassing the very pieces to hit the Mango stores for the appropriate month. According to Mango’s vice president Daniel López, each mini campaign theme and the celebrity standing on top of it will be from stem to stern attuned with the trends embracing the relevant month and this is the best illustration of the fast-fashion concept going into effect.
The ”Tribal Spirit” will abound in fringes, leather, tribal prints, high slits, flaring hemlines, and by and large will effuse free spirit and somewhat savage drives to be best epitomzed by savanna girl Kendall Jenner. In one of the David Sims shots of the campaign Kendall is sporting a tight-fitting leather minidress with the bottom all saturated with fringes while the waist styled with a braided leather belt to the max synched up to her hair, where tousled strands meet a slouchy braid. But this is not the only episode of the campaign to tease us in spades; Kendall has also shared a sneak peek of one of the ads with her million-strong followers in Instagram, where she is energetically dancing decked into slouchy pants and a western-style white top.
As Daniel Lopez states Kendall is that very personality to mirror the campaign’s tribal spirit theme. “We thought that she was the best model to embody this trend. And obviously the upside with that is that, as a model, she’s very professional, she works fantastically. As a celebrity she has huge repercussions in the market and among her followers“.
Kendell herself considers this experience truly “unbeatable” for her, adding “I felt very comfortable with the garments and with the entire Mango team”.
And no one could better illustrate the savanna girl’s movements than the British fashion photographer David Sims, who is best known for capturing movements is his photographs. Daniel Lopez describes him as “a master of the photography, with a huge talent, undisputed prestige and experience. Moreover, we knew his work and we thought he would be the best to shoot the campaign. We knew he was going to be able to bring his unique, creative energy and expertise to Mango”.
As for the other three celebrities to star in the upcoming Mango spring 2019 campaigns, the retailer is staying pretty closemouthed.
