The recipe for making delicious nachos

Sometimes everyone, even the most favorite dishes, get bored, I want to try to cook something new, to surprise my family and friends with original solutions. If you have never tried to cook nachos, you lost a lot!

This most popular Mexican snack, which is not really eaten by babies at home, has already been loved by many of our compatriots. And what, nachos is simple, tasty and unusual, a great option for a friendly get-together or snack during the day.

Of course, the most authentic nachos can be tasted only in Mexico, where they are prepared with such virtuoso skill that you will just yank your fingers! Prepare this crispy snack, which, in fact, is nothing more than corn chips, and at home, it is not difficult.

You'd be surprised, but it turns out the chips, which we consider to be extremely harmful food, may not be such, especially if you cook them at home, and even in such an interesting way.

At home, nachos must be served with some additives: for example, various dressings, sour cream, avocado, sauces, melted cheese, vegetable salads, olives and others. In addition, such corn chips can themselves become part of the dish.

How to cook at home?

If you decide to eat such an unusual snack, then you will need a little time, as well as a certain set of ingredients, which may need to be prepared in advance, because not all of them necessarily have to be on the shelf in every kitchen. So what is needed for this?

  • corn oil - 450 ml;
  • corn flour - 1 cup;
  • boiled water - 250 ml;
  • wheat flour - 50 g;
  • sweet ground paprika - 4 g;
  • rice flour - 100 g;
  • cinnamon, salt, black pepper.

To make a homemade snack exactly the same as in Mexico, you need to take care of and prepare a delicious filling. For it you will need 100 g of Cheddar cheese, 1 Bulgarian pepper and 100 g of sour cream. So let's try to cook the famous nachos?

Recipe. First you need to properly sift the cornmeal, then add a pinch of salt and other spices.Then we mix everything and fill it with hot water, then leave to stand for 20 minutes.

Now add rice flour, begin to knead the dough, gradually adding corn oil. Almost at the very end of the dough preparation, we add quite a bit of wheat flour to it - it will give it a better elasticity.

The finished ball of dough must be divided into 6 equal parts, after which each of them is rolled out between two sheets of parchment or wax paper. The thickness of the layer should be 1-2 mm. We divide it into 8 equal parts - they are usually given the form of triangles.

The next stage is frying. You will need a deep fat fryer or a deep frying pan with a thick bottom. Pour vegetable oil into it so that chips can float in it freely. We throw a few triangles into the heated oil, constantly stir and wait until they get a beautiful golden color. It is important to ensure that individual triangles do not stick together.

In finished form, lay them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil, and the chips become crispy. Finished nachos put on a baking sheet, top with water sour cream,chop up the sweet pepper and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Now send the baking tray to the oven for 3-5 minutes to melt the cheese. Delicious snacks can be served on the table with lettuce or the famous Salsa sauce.

How to cook Salsa sauce?

This is the famous vegetable sauce from traditional Mexican cuisine, which is most often served along with corn nachos. Preparing it at home is easy, but the result will exceed all expectations. Remember that before serving Salsa must necessarily cool down and brew for at least an hour in the refrigerator.

How to cook it? First, let's deal with the ingredients: you need 4 tomatoes, a small bunch of cilantro, 1 head of purple onions, 1 hot peppercorn, juice from one lemon, a couple of garlic cloves, as well as salt and pepper.

Vegetables should be washed, tomatoes cut into small slices, hot peppers should be cleaned from seeds and partitions, and then also cut into chunks. Onions are cleaned and divided into 6 parts, put all the vegetables (together with garlic) in a baking sheet, pour olive oil and send to a well-heated oven (up to 200 °) to bake.

After 15 minutes, the pan needs to be pulled out, it is important that the vegetables turn red.Let them cool, remove the skin with a tomato, and then grind it in a vegetable cutter to a medium consistency (small pieces should be felt). In the finished mass, add lemon juice, a spoonful of olive oil, salt and pepper, mix everything and bring to the table along with chopped cilantro.
